I’m working with a growing technology company in NYC that is looking to add a hands-on Senior Accountant to its finance team.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants more than a narrow accounting seat. The role offers direct exposure to senior finance leadership, ownership across core accounting responsibilities, and the chance to support a business that is scaling quickly.
The ideal candidate has a strong corporate accounting foundation, is comfortable in a fast-moving environment, and wants to be close to the business.
What You’ll DoReporting into senior finance leadership, you will support the day-to-day accounting function across:General ledger accounting, including cash, AR, AP, prepaids, accruals, and reconciliationsMonth-end close support and monthly balance sheet reconciliationsCustomer invoicing, billing, and collections supportVendor management, purchase orders, and supplier invoice processingTravel and expense review, approval, and corporate card reconciliationsFinancial reporting support and ad hoc analysisYear-end audit supportProcess improvement and systems-related finance projects as the company scales
Who We’re Looking For2-6+ years of accounting experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or a public/private mixBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA or CPA track preferred, but not requiredStrong month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, AP/AR, and general ledger experienceComfortable being hands-on while also contributing at a more senior levelInterest in working in a fast-growing technology, software, data, AI, fintech, or broader innovation-driven companyNetSuite experience is a plusStrong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, filtering, and analysis
