Peer Specialist

WCS Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Peer Specialist to support individuals receiving mental health services through advocacy, engagement, recovery support, and community connection.

Responsibilities

• Build supportive relationships through shared lived experience.
• Encourage engagement in services and recovery goals.
• Assist with overcoming barriers to care, including transportation, scheduling, and communication challenges.
• Facilitate wellness, recovery, and skill-building activities.
• Connect individuals to community resources and supports.
• Accompany clients to appointments and community activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings and trainings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• CRPA or Provisional CRPA certification required.
• 1-2 years of experience in peer support, advocacy, or related recovery services.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to appropriately share personal recovery experiences to support others.
• Understanding of professional boundaries and recovery-oriented care.
• Knowledge of community resources and mental health services preferred.

• Tuesday-Saturday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Sunday-Thursday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
