Job Summary Department: DOM Schedule: Monday - Friday, Normal Business Hours, Onsite Compensation: The pay rate for this position starts at $20.00 per hour, with increases based on the candidate's years of experience. As a vital member of our clinical operations team, you’ll provide administrative support to ensure our practice runs smoothly and efficiently. In this dynamic, fast-paced role, you’ll be the friendly face that plays a key role in creating a positive, efficient, and compassionate environment for both patients and clinical staff. The Practice Assistant II supports efficient practice operations by providing administrative and patient-facing support under general supervision. Responsibilities include scheduling, check-in/check-out, patient communication, and office coordination. Duties may vary by department. What You'll Do:
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
- Greet and assist patients and respond to routine inquiries.
- Manage phone calls, appointment scheduling, and message routing.
- Process billing forms and scan documents into EPIC.
- Request medical records and laboratory results.
- Distribute mail and faxes and prepare routine correspondence.
- Collect patient co-payments as needed.
- Handle messages related to prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and test results.
- Serve as an EPIC Super User for scheduling, registration, and billing systems (training provided).
- Assist with training staff and perform advanced scheduling functions, including surgical scheduling and schedule management, as needed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
- Knowledge of office operations and administrative procedures.
- Strong phone, customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
