Job Description
ResponsibilitiesBuild agent and broker relationships, find sources, and be creative in placing risks and identifying product opportunitiesProduce income by brokering multiple lines of insuranceSeek opportunities to access new insurance markets and productsPlay a producer role in the dynamic growth of a highly successful and consistently profitable companyUse cutting-edge technology to deliver high-quality service to agents, agencies and brokersTravel and entertain clients and prospectsBuild and maintain a successful book of businessDefine and monitor successful sales and marketing strategies in cooperation with senior managementSupervise execution of company underwriting guidelines, corporate policy and procedures, and compliance with contract termsFind, build, broker, and manage relationships with retail agents and brokersMonitor competitive climate in cooperation with the corporate headquartersDrive consistency and quality in operational processesFind and cultivate brokerage marketsBe creative in developing solutions for individual risk placement as well as program business developmentHave demonstrated evidence of strong retailer relationshipsWork independently, yet have the capability to build a team of up and coming brokers

QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 3 years of brokerage experience required, excess & surplus experience preferredDemonstrated proficiency in sales and marketingProven organization skills and ability with a strong attention to detailInterest in continued education and professional developmentInsurance license, CIC or comparable designations preferred
