WHAT YOU WILL DOReview wire transfers, related journal entries, and transaction activityPrepare and review allocations, supporting documentation, and journal entries across investment fundsSupport expense payments, investment funding, and distributionsPrepare investor capital calls, distributions, and management fee calculations, along with related notices and wiresCoordinate and track intercompany transactionsReconcile fund, middle-tier, joint venture, and SPE investment and equity accountsMaintain historical and forecasted cash tracking schedulesCoordinate expense reimbursements with joint venture partnersAssist with the quarterly valuation processParticipate in fund and deal setup and structuringPrepare monthly and quarterly workpapers supporting fund activityAssist with quarterly financial statement preparation, including footnotes, under U.S. GAAP and Investment Company accountingPrepare quarterly investor statements and respond to investor-related requestsSupport external audit inquiries and provide documentation as requiredCoordinate information for external tax consultants and review relevant tax reportingSupport internal analysis and ad hoc requests across the organization
BACKGROUND xzbcwsv PROFILE3-5 years of progressive accounting experienceReal estate fund accounting experience is strongly preferredPublic accounting experience supporting financial services or investment-related clients is also highly relevantBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related disciplineCPA or progress toward CPA accreditation is preferredExperience preparing or supporting financial statements under U.S. GAAP and/or IFRSStrong general ledger and account reconciliation experienceAdvanced Excel skills and overall proficiency with Microsoft OfficeDemonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvementsStrong attention to detail with the ability to both prepare work and critically review completed work productAbility to manage competing priorities while collaborating effectively across a teamStrong communication and interpersonal skills
