Manufacturing Controller

We are currently assisting our client, an industrial manufacturer, with a Manufacturing Controller search in the Cleveland, OH area.

Responsibilities:Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements.Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules.Analyze financial and operational data, identify trends or variances, and develop practical solutions to improve performance and control costs.Oversee payroll processing and related reporting in coordination with the company’s outside accounting firm.Maintain effective accounting controls and support budgeting, cash-flow planning, inventory accounting, and other financial needs of a small manufacturing business.
Key Requirements:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.Experience as a Manufacturing Controller, or as a manufacturing accountant ready to advance into a controller role; comparable experience will also be considered.Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems, including inventory, costing, and production-related financial data.Ability to manage month-end close, journal entries, payroll coordination, and financial analysis while identifying practical solutions from operational and financial data.
