Custodian/Assembler

Custodian/AssemblerWe are looking for a person with Custodial and Assembly experience to work in our Williamsport, MD plant. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of custodial experience and preferably experience within an assembly department, in an industrial setting. Assemblers are responsible for operating equipment and machinery safely in our assembly department. This is a full time position, with the core schedule being first shift, Monday through Friday.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSafety First MentalitySweep, mop, scrub, strip and polish floorsClean and maintain carpeted areasWash walls, windows, stairways and woodwork (which may require working from a ladder)Dust and polish furniture and equipmentMove and arrange furniture and equipmentClean, sanitize and deodorize restrooms and restock restroom suppliesEmpty wastebaskets and remove trash inside the building and also around the outside of the buildingEmpty containers of paper and other materials, set aside for the County recycling program, bring recyclables to the designated collection area and place in appropriate storage containersMaintain cleanliness of employee break roomsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeGeneral knowledge of computersPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1 + year experience in a manufacturing/warehouse settingKnowledge of proper types of custodial equipment, cleaning agents, sanitizing chemicals and protective gear to use in all types of cleaning work, and the ability to use them safelyKnowledge of (or ability to learn) the use and operation of a standard buffer, vacuum cleaner, and other related equipmentAbility to read a tape measureAssemblers are responsible for assembling various types of foam, corrugated products, wood, and packaging supplies to meet customer needsPhysical ability for constant walking, moving, reaching and making repetitive motions; frequently stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling up to and over 40 pounds.Employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection and protective footwearBENEFITS AND COMPENSATIONPSI offers an excellent benefits package to full time employees, including:Choice of two medical plans (single and family), dental, vision, company paid life insurance, voluntary short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability, voluntary supplemental life insurance, critical illness coverage, voluntary accident insurance.
