Functional Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Functional Business Analyst to work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and project managers to analyze business requirements, improve operational processes, and support the delivery of banking and financial technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions.Translate business needs into functional specifications, business requirement documents (BRDs), and user stories.Collaborate with technology teams, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery.Analyze existing business processes, identify gaps, and recommend process improvements.Develop process flows, use cases, functional workflows, and acceptance criteria.Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and project status discussions.Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), develop test scenarios, validate results, and assist with defect resolution.Ensure solutions align with business objectives, operational policies, risk controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.Maintain project documentation and communicate requirements, issues, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:Proven experience as a Functional Business Analyst, Business Analyst, or in a similar role.Strong experience in requirements gathering, functional documentation, process mapping, and stakeholder management.Understanding of banking, financial services, or enterprise business processes.Experience with BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.Experience supporting UAT, test planning, defect tracking, and business validation.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, and Confluence.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience working with large banking or financial services organizations.Familiarity with banking products, payments, lending, deposits, trade finance, or capital markets.Understanding of risk management, compliance, audit requirements, and regulatory controls.Experience with SQL, data analysis, reporting tools, or business process modeling. xzbcwsv Relevant business analysis certifications, such as CBAP or PMI-PBA.
