OverviewJoin a team responsible for supporting and modernizing critical network infrastructure. We are seeking a Cisco Network Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and support enterprise networking equipment at locations throughout the state.This position provides an excellent opportunity for networking professionals who enjoy hands-on infrastructure work, enterprise-scale environments, and collaborating with experienced network engineers on impactful technology initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and support enterprise edge networking equipment throughout the state.Deploy and maintain Cisco Catalyst 3650 and 9000 series switchesInstall and support Cisco 1111 and 9000 series routersConfigure and maintain Cisco wireless access points and wireless controllersAssist with Fortinet FortiGate firewall deployments and supportTroubleshoot network connectivity, routing, switching, and infrastructure-related issuesSupport hardware refresh projects, installations, and decommissioning effortsEvaluate network systems and recommend upgrades, patches, and improvementsDevelop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and standardsCoordinate multiple ongoing network projects across various agenciesWork collaboratively with network engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholdersParticipate in occasional after-hours work and overnight travel as required
Required QualificationsIntermediate knowledge of networking principles, technologies, and best practicesExperience with enterprise networking equipmentUnderstanding of routing, switching, LAN/WAN technologies, and network troubleshootingExperience supporting or installing Cisco networking productsAbility to read and interpret technical documentationStrong communication and customer service skillsValid driver's license
Preferred QualificationsCCNA, Network+, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent certificationsExperience with Cisco Catalyst switching platformsExperience with Cisco routing technologiesExperience with Fortinet FortiGate firewallsExperience supporting enterprise-scale network environments
