- Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial reporting, including GAAP financial statements (under both historical cost and investment company accounting), cash flows, income tax reporting, and other project specific reporting
- Accounting responsibilities encompassing general ledger functions, investor, fund, and property level reporting, as well as cash management
- Capital call/distribution management
- Coordinating and monitoring of the external audit process
- Proactively identifying and resolving accounting, reporting, and tax issues
- Management of joint-venture partner relationships, including review of monthly financial statements, and participation with site visits to investment properties
- Contributing to the development of accounting policies and procedures and addressing internal control issues
- Assisting with the annual budget process, estimates, and variance reporting
- Developing custom reports for Corebridge and various third parties under tight deadlines
- 2 plus years of accounting experience. Must have experience with “Big 4” (Or close to big 4) and Real Estate Accounting or Private Equity experience. Must have a CPA or be interested in getting a CPA.
- Must have good work ethic. This role requires working under pressure with various projects and deadlines, while reporting to multiple people. There will be significant interaction with joint venture partners, Corebridge internal groups, third party property managers, fund administrators, asset/investment managers and internal/external auditors.
- Individual needs to be proactive with issues and responsive to management. Be able to work well independently and capable of identifying and resolving issues. Detail oriented and willing to take a hands-on approach in all elements of the job.
- Demonstrated experience with financial reporting/financial statement presentation, budgeting, transaction analysis.
- Must possess strong oral and written communication skills. There will be heavy interaction with many parties. The ability to communicate effectively is important.
- Excellent computer skills, including Yardi, Microsoft Office Suite, and Advanced Excel skills.
