AVP / VP – Regulatory Compliance (NBFC)

Location: Delhi NCR

We are partnering with a leading financial services organization to hire an experienced AVP/VP – Regulatory Compliance to lead the compliance function for its RBI-regulated NBFC business .

This is an excellent opportunity for senior compliance professionals who have deep expertise in the RBI regulatory framework and are looking to take on a strategic leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end regulatory compliance function for an RBI-regulated NBFC.
  • Interpret and implement RBI Master Directions, circulars, and regulatory updates.
  • Drive regulatory governance, compliance monitoring, and enterprise-wide compliance framework.
  • Lead RBI inspections, supervisory reviews, regulatory audits, and closure of observations.
  • Develop and review compliance policies, SOPs, and internal governance frameworks.
  • Provide regulatory advisory to business teams on new products, strategic initiatives, and evolving regulations.
  • Oversee financial crime compliance, including KYC, AML, PMLA, sanctions, and regulatory reporting.
  • Liaise with RBI and other regulatory authorities on compliance matters.
  • Present compliance updates to senior leadership and governance committees.

Ideal Candidate

  • 14–20 years of post-qualification experience in Regulatory Compliance.
  • Strong experience within an RBI-regulated NBFC, bank, fintech, or financial services organization.
  • Hands-on experience with RBI inspections, regulatory audits, supervisory interactions, and regulatory remediation.
  • Exposure to digital lending, retail lending, payments, or other RBI-regulated businesses.
  • Strong understanding of KYC, AML, PMLA, regulatory governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience leading compliance programs and engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • LL.B., CS, CA, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or team management role is preferred.
