Role Description The HR Manager – Restaurants and QSRs will oversee end-to-end HR activities for multiple outlets, ensuring alignment with AWF’s service and operational standards. This full-time, on-site role is based in Mumbai and involves close collaboration with restaurant leadership, regional managers, and corporate teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include workforce planning, recruitment and onboarding for restaurant and QSR staff, and managing attendance, scheduling, and payroll coordination. The HR Manager will design and implement training programs, performance management processes, and career development initiatives tailored to frontline and managerial roles. The role also includes handling employee relations, grievance resolution, compliance with labor laws, and implementing HR policies and procedures across all locations. The HR Manager will monitor HR metrics, recommend improvements, and support initiatives related to engagement, retention, and workplace culture.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in HR management within restaurants, hospitality, or QSR environments, with strong exposure to multi-location operations.
- Proficiency in core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and training and development.
- Solid understanding of local labor laws, statutory compliances, and HR policies relevant to the food service and hospitality sector.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse teams and frontline staff.
- Ability to analyze HR data, track key metrics (e.g., attrition, absenteeism), and implement practical solutions that support operational efficiency.
- Comfort working on-site in Mumbai, with flexibility to visit restaurant and QSR outlets as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or HR certification is an advantage.
- Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented, with a focus on creating inclusive, respectful, and safe workplaces for all team members.
