Federal Construction Project Engineer

This individual will support the Project team in overseeing complex, high-dollar projects from planning through completion, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met. Support daily project execution activities for large federal design-build construction projects, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, and contract requirementsAssist in developing, updating, and maintaining detailed project schedules in MS Project; track progress and flag potential delaysSupport cost management efforts, including tracking project costs, assisting with forecasting, and maintaining accurate financial documentationCoordinate closely with superintendents, subcontractors, field teams, and federal stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and workflowManage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation to maintain compliance and proper recordkeepingPerform drawing reviews and prepare markups using Bluebeam to support design coordination and issue resolutionHelp ensure project compliance with federal regulations, safety standards, and quality control requirementsAssist with estimating and preconstruction efforts, including quantity takeoffs and data input using HeavyBid/HeavyJobSupport project lifecycle activities from preconstruction through closeout, including closeout documentation and turnover packagesProactively identify project issues and support the PM in developing solutions to maintain project performance
Must-Haves:2-5 + years of experience working in constructionExperience working with a General Contractor xzbcwsv or an Electrical, Civil, Steel, Mechanical, or Structural SubcontractorElectrical experience is preferredFederal construction project experience: CBP, USACE, NAVFAC, DoD, DHS, AF, city/state, municipal constructionProficiency with MS Project (scheduling), bluebeam, or heavybid/heavyjob
