Job description:Spartan Capital is a fast-growing fintech company dedicated to providing innovative financial solutions to small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Driven by deep credit expertise, Spartan utilizes proprietary technology and disciplined underwriting along with longstanding relationships with customers and industry participants to support SMBs nationwide for the past 10 years. We have been disrupting the Traditional Banking System by proving SMB’s with Revenue Based Financing and loans so they can growth and scale their operations.Responsibilities and DutiesAbility to extract and manipulate data from multiple sources, developing assumptions where needed, to drive business insights and strategyBuild and own Tableau dashboards for originations, underwriting, collections, and the executive teamRespond quickly to inquiries from stakeholders; delivering conclusions with detailed assumptions that provide a clear understanding of the business questionAccumulates a deep understanding of processes that create data as well as how that data is used by applications and usersTurn vague stakeholder questions into scoped analyses with defensible numbersTrack down data discrepancies across source systems and build checks so they don't recurPresent findings directly to the people who act on themQualifications and Skills:Minimum of 2 years of experience in BI, analytics, or reportingStrong SQLHands-on Tableau experience or other dashboarding toolsThe instinct to double-check a number that looks wrong instead of publishing itOutstanding communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleaguesBS in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or similar quantitative fieldQualifications and Skills:Experience in merchant cash advance, small business lending, specialty finance, fintech, or commercial bankingFamiliarity with factor rates, ACH returns, delinquency bucketing, cohort and vintage analysis, or default and cure ratesExperienced in data warehouse developmentPython for automationThis Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is:Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneousDetail-oriented -- would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger pictureAutonomous/Independent -- enjoys working with little directionJob Type: Full-time
