Entry Level Mechanical Engineer -Parts Manufacturer (36326)

A global automotive parts manufacturing company area is currently seeking a motivated Entry Level Mechanical Engineer to join their facility in the Dayton, OH area. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years’ work experience in component design and product development, and the ability to interface effectively with other departments and colleagues. This is a full-time, direct hire position with multiple openings available.

Entry Level Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities Include:Participate in the design and development of automotive componentsDevelop and maintain engineering drawings, schematics, and Bill of MaterialsInterface with colleagues and customers regarding design reviews, potential changes, approval, and manufacturing feasibilityEnsure that product designs are meeting customer, industry, and governmental standardsAssist with prototype development, simulated and physical testing, root cause analysis, etc.Create records of project changes and updates for internal and customer useOther duties as assigned
Entry Level Mechanical Engineer Requirements Include:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred, OR equivalent work experienceMinimum 1-3 years' experience (including internships, co-ops, etc.) in Design, Product, or Release Engineering preferredFamiliarity with CATIA V5 and / or Unigraphics NX design programs preferredAbility to read, interpret, and improve engineering drawings and schematicsStrong communication and collaboration ability in a multicultural environmentGood problem-solving, time management, and multitasking skillsWhile performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
