Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Website Developer . The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, maintaining, and continuously improving the company's websites and digital platforms.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across website development, content updates, performance optimization, troubleshooting, security, and new feature development.

We're hiring across all levels from freshers looking to begin their web development career to experienced developers capable of independently managing website development and technical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage the company's websites and web applications
• Create and implement new website features, pages, and functionalities
• Update website content, images, layouts, and other digital assets
• Ensure websites are responsive and work smoothly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
• Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs, errors, and technical issues
• Improve website speed, performance, security, and reliability
• Develop and integrate APIs and third-party services when required
• Manage website databases and backend systems
• Perform regular website updates, maintenance, and backups
• Implement basic technical SEO and website optimization practices
• Monitor website performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with marketing, editorial, design, and business teams
• Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code
• (Senior candidates) Take ownership of website architecture, deployments, hosting, technical strategy, and mentor junior developers

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in one or more web development languages such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, or similar
• Experience with frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or similar
• Familiarity with backend development using Node.js, PHP, Python, or similar technologies
• Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress is a plus
• Understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with API development and integration
• Knowledge of Git and version control systems
• Understanding of website hosting, domains, SSL, DNS, and basic server management is a plus
• Knowledge of website security, performance optimization, and responsive design
• Basic understanding of technical SEO is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a remote work environment
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Freshers: Academic projects, internships, or personal website/GitHub portfolios are welcome
• Senior candidates: 4+ years of experience in web development and website management is a strong plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
