More about the Role Now Hiring: Full-Time Veterinarian - West Texas Small Animal Practice We are seeking a hard-working, fun-spirited, and compassionate veterinarian to join our busy and community rooted small animal practice in West Texas. Our clinic is fast-paced, team-oriented, and dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and client service. We are currently a one-doctor practice with a strong, experienced support staff and are looking to expand our veterinary team with a full-time associate. Our clinic offers: A highly skilled and supportive team of veterinary technicians. Technicians capable of assisting with blood draws, radiographs, ultrasound, and more. A well-established, busy caseload with strong client relationships. A collaborative, team-focused work environment. About Our Community: Located in a welcoming West Texas town, our community truly feels like family-people here support one another and take pride in caring for their neighbors. While we enjoy the charm and slower pace of small-town living, we are conveniently located within easy driving distance of several larger towns and cities, giving you the best of both worlds. Essential Responsibilities Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries. Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results. Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options. Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed. Provide counsel around pet end of life care. Maintain patients' medical records. Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures. Requirements/Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution. Appropriate state licensure. Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients. Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
