Junior accountant

Its automation-first ERP supports key functions such as attendance, fee management, report cards, and enquiry tracking. Educase India also provides content creation, video production, and growth-focused digital campaigns to help schools reach more parents and build powerful education brands. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Junior Accountant role based in Hyderabad. The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, preparing vouchers, and maintaining accurate ledgers. Responsibilities include assisting with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, petty cash management, and invoice tracking. The role will also support monthly and yearly closing activities, help prepare basic financial reports, and ensure proper documentation and filing. The Junior Accountant will work closely with the finance team to maintain compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations, and collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting queries. Qualifications
Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliation. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Tally, Excel, or similar tools) and basic MS Office skills. Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong numerical and analytical abilities. Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain organized records in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Internship or up to 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with GST, TDS, and basic compliance requirements will be an advantage. Interest in the education sector and willingness to learn and grow within a scaling organization.
