I am seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Lead to support the construction phase of a major pharmaceutical project.
Initial 12-month contract | W2 | Competitive hourly rate + monthly expense cap
You will lead site-based quantity measurement and commercial oversight, working closely with Construction, Contracts and Project Controls to verify progress and maintain cost control.
Responsibilities:
• Measure and verify installed construction works through site walkdowns and progress reviews.• Review contractor payment applications against verified progress and contractual terms.• Evaluate and quantify change orders, variations and claims.• Maintain quantity records, earned value data, cost reports and commitment logs.• Resolve commercial issues and invoice discrepancies, ensuring accurate, auditable documentation.
Experience required:
• 8–10+ years as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial/Cost Lead on large-scale industrial, commercial or pharmaceutical construction projects.• Strong experience in contract administration, progress measurement, payment certification and change management.• Working knowledge of lump sum, unit rate and cost-reimbursable contracts.• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent industry experience.• Familiarity with U.S. construction standards and pharmaceutical/GMP environments preferred.
