Position: Early Years Teacher

Role Summary

The Early Years Teacher will create a nurturing, engaging and inquiry-led learning environment that supports the holistic development of pupils aged 3–6 years. The role involves delivering play-based learning aligned with the IB philosophy, fostering curiosity, independence and a lifelong love of learning.

Location: King's College UK, Gurugram, Sector 59, Bandhwari, Gurugram, Haryana

Start Date: January 2027

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based and child-centred learning experiences.
• Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Foster children's curiosity, independence, creativity and critical thinking.
• Observe, assess and document student progress to inform learning.
• Develop strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Integrate creative arts, movement, stories and hands-on experiences into learning.
• Support a smooth transition from Early Years to Primary Years.
• Contribute to the wider school community and engage in ongoing professional development.

Essential Requirements

• 2 to 3 years of experience teaching Early Years, preferably in an international school.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and play-based learning.
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Early Child Education (ECE) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
