Senior Accountant -Location: Chicago, IL
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage general accounting activities, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on accounting experience, and proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Maintain general ledger accuracy and support month-end closing activities.Perform bank, general ledger, and other account reconciliations.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysis.Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.Review accounts payable transactions and ensure compliance with the three-way matching process.Process vendor payments and resolve discrepancies in vendor accounts.Record customer payments, reconcile credit card transactions, and resolve accounts receivable issues.Follow up on overdue customer payments and maintain accurate financial records.Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to manage financial data.Collaborate with the CFO and cross-functional teams to support financial operations and business objectives.Handle confidential financial information with accuracy and professionalism.
Required QualificationsExtensive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger management.Strong knowledge of month-end closing, reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and audit support.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.Experience with MAS 90 / Sage 100 preferred.Familiarity with Crystal Reports is an advantage.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. xzbcwsv Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
