I'm currently partnered with a well-established engineering consultancy that's looking to add a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to its growing team in North Charleston, South Carolina.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced geotechnical professional looking to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and transportation projects, while playing a key role in project delivery and mentoring junior engineers.
What you'll be doing:Managing geotechnical projects from proposal through delivery.Leading geotechnical investigations, field exploration, laboratory testing, and engineering analyses.Performing foundation, slope stability, settlement, seepage, liquefaction, and seismic analyses.Preparing geotechnical reports and engineering recommendations.Designing shallow and deep foundation systems, retaining structures, and earthworks.Managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams across a variety of high-profile projects.What we're looking for:5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience within a consulting environment.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) licence required.Strong report writing and technical analysis skills.Experience with industry-standard geotechnical software.Comfortable balancing office-based design work with occasional field investigations.
