Job Description Key responsibilities include: Generating new business through proactive prospecting, networking, and cold outreach Managing a full sales cycle from lead generation through contract execution Building relationships with senior decision-makers across research, scientific, and technology organizations Understanding customer needs and positioning solutions that align with their objectives Delivering compelling product demonstrations and presentations Managing complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders Collaborating with marketing, product, and internal sales teams to drive revenue growth Growing and maintaining customer relationships, including renewals and expansion opportunities Consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant The ideal candidate will have: 3+ years of solution selling experience within software, SaaS, research databases, scientific technology, or related industries Proven business development and customer acquisition experience Strong prospecting and cold-calling skills Experience selling into academic, research, life sciences, or corporate environments Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Training in a consultative or solution-selling methodology A self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-driven mindset A master's degree in a scientific discipline is preferred but not required Understanding of laboratory, research, or experimental workflows is a plus What's on Offer Base salary of $100,000 - $110,000 plus bonus Hybrid schedule: 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely Comprehensive onboarding and sales training Ongoing professional development opportunities Collaborative and results-driven culture Opportunity to join a growing organization supporting innovation within the scientific research community
