Deputy General Manager - TCF Prototype Vehicle

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

1. Lead cross-functional teams in TCF prototype vehicle assembly, coordinating activities across Trim, Chassis, Electrical and Final Assembly functions.

2. Own and drive the achievement of Safety, Quality, Productivity, Delivery and Cost targets during prototype and pilot vehicle build activities.

3. Provide technical leadership on vehicle assembly processes, assembly sequence planning, FTG and process optimization to ensure build efficiency and product quality.

4. Ensure adherence to robust product and process quality standards throughout all TCF assembly operations and prototype build stages.

5. Collaborate closely with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Program teams to ensure seamless integration and verification of vehicle systems and components..

6. Define build strategy, timelines, and deliverables in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

7. Proactively identify manufacturing, technical, supply chain, and resource-related risks that may impact prototype build execution and vehicle readiness.

8. Develop and implement effective mitigation plans to ensure uninterrupted build execution, on-time delivery, quality compliance, and cost control.

9. Lead issue management and resolution of build issues through effective coordination with design, quality, supplier, and manufacturing teams.

10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on assembly efficiency, defect reduction, process standardization, and overall operational excellence..

11. Enhance team capability through structured skill development, technical training, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and implementation of best practices within TCF assembly operations.

Experience (years) :

15 to 20 years

Industry Preferred

Automotive manufacturing and R & D, preferably in prototype or new product development.

Qualification:

B.E or B.Tech Mechanical, Automotive or Production Engineering.
