Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Program Advisor – Climate Smart Agriculture to drive climate-smart agriculture initiatives across Maharashtra.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of climate-smart agriculture programs.
- Manage partnerships with government, universities, NGOs, research institutions & private sector.
- Support government liaison, policy engagement and stakeholder coordination.
- Provide field-level implementation and technical guidance.
- Contribute to monitoring, data analysis, knowledge development and reporting.
- Represent the program at state-level forums and stakeholder meetings.
Key Requirements
- Master’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Science, Climate Change, Rural Development, Agricultural Economics, Public Policy or related fields.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in agriculture, climate resilience, rural development or related sectors.
- Strong experience in stakeholder/partnership management and government engagement.
- Understanding of Maharashtra agriculture, climate-smart agriculture, nutrient management and sustainable farming .
- Marathi proficiency is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Maharashtra (30–50%).
