SummaryThe Ash Group is hiring a Lead Opto Electronics Engineer (24682) for our client who designs and manufactures equipment and software to monitor micro-contamination in cleanrooms and ultra-clean manufacturing environments . This is a full-time position working in Niwot, CO (Onsite). We are offering a salary up to 170K W2, based on skill set.

What You’ll Be DoingDesign and develop ultra low noise, high signal to noise analog front end electronics for optical detection systemsDefine requirements and specifications for photonic detectors (photodiodes, APDs, SPADs, SiPMs, and arrays) in collaboration with vendorsLead development and evaluation of optical imaging and light collection systems for weak?signal environmentsAnalyze detector physics, noise sources, and system?level performance limitationsResearch and evaluate emerging photonics and detector technologies to guide R&D directionProvide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to engineering and research staffCollaborate with cross?functional teams to support advanced instrumentation development programsContinuously evaluate processes for improvements in efficiency, quality, and performance
What We’re Looking ForMust have 15+ years of relevant experience, potentially a combination of disciplinesExperience taking a product/idea xzbcwsv from concept/zero through development and into the market is requiredStrong optoelectronics/photonics and electrical engineering background is a mustMust have a MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, or related fieldSignificant experience in: Very low level light detection systems; Low noise amplifier design and circuit architecture; Precision PCB layout for sensitive analog systems; and Optical detection and imaging systemsDeep understanding of photonic detector devices and associated electronics is required
