Electro-Mechanical Technician 1 (1E) The Electro-Mechanical Technician 1 (1E) possesses all Maintenance Technician 1M skills plus advanced electrical and controls expertise. Responsible for troubleshooting medium to complex automation systems, PLC-controlled equipment, industrial networks, and machine controls. Key Responsibilities Perform all Maintenance Technician 1M duties. Interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls schematics regardless of machine origin. Troubleshoot VFDs, servo systems, relay logic, safety circuits, sensors, and distributed I/O. Diagnose analog and digital control systems. Read and modify basic PLC ladder logic. Develop basic PLC programs and machine improvements. Support CNC routers, conveyors, finishing systems, and woodworking equipment. Coordinate with contractors, OEMs, suppliers, and integrators. Qualifications 5+ years industrial maintenance experience. PLC troubleshooting experience. Strong understanding of VFDs and industrial communications.
