TownePlace Suites Omaha West is seeking a hands-on, guest-focused Assistant General Manager to help lead daily hotel operations. This is an opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys developing associates, solving problems, and creating a welcoming environment where guests feel at home—whether they stay for a night, a week, or longer.Working alongside the General Manager, you will support the hotel’s operational and financial goals while helping associates deliver dependable service and uphold Marriott brand standards.
What You’ll DoSupport the General Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, breakfast service, and coordination with Maintenance.Lead by example, providing friendly, professional service and assisting departments during busy periods.Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and recognize associates in partnership with the General Manager.Help manage schedules and staffing to meet guest needs while monitoring labor costs.Address guest concerns promptly, follow through on resolutions, and identify opportunities to improve the guest experience.Monitor guest satisfaction results and work with department leaders to strengthen service and cleanliness.Oversee front desk procedures, including reservations, room assignments, payments, cash handling, and shift communication.Coordinate room readiness and maintenance priorities to keep accommodations clean, comfortable, and guest-ready.Build relationships with extended-stay guests and anticipate their needs throughout their stay.Support hotel sales efforts by identifying leads and communicating opportunities to the sales team.Assist with purchasing, inventory, expense controls, and operational reporting.Reinforce hotel safety, security, and emergency procedures.Help prepare for brand quality assurance reviews and follow up on improvement plans.Serve as the manager on duty and provide hotel leadership in the General Manager’s absence.
What You BringAt least two years of progressive hotel operations experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities, preferred.Front office leadership experience and an understanding of housekeeping and hotel operations.Marriott or extended-stay hotel experience preferred.Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.The ability to coach associates, set clear expectations, and address concerns respectfully and consistently.Familiarity with hotel property management systems, reservations, and payment procedures.Basic financial knowledge, including labor management, expense controls, and interpreting operational reports.A dependable, adaptable approach and a willingness to work alongside your team.Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on hotel needs.Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.About UsTownePlace Suites Omaha West offers the comfort and convenience of an extended-stay hotel, helping guests settle in and feel at home while away from home.
