Elevator Estimator

The Role: We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and detail-oriented Elevator Estimator to join our estimating team and support bidding and pricing efforts for commercial elevator projects.

This is a high-visibility position that will work closely with the estimating team, Project Managers, vendors, subcontractors, clients, and company Ownership. The ideal candidate will have strong construction estimating experience, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple bids while producing accurate and competitive proposals

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze drawings, blueprints, specifications, contract documents, and project plans to understand project scope and requirements.
• Identify scope gaps, deficiencies, and inconsistencies in drawings and specifications and request clarification as needed.
• Visit construction sites when necessary to gather project-specific information.
• Develop estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other project costs.
• Prepare detailed material and labor estimates.
• Obtain and evaluate multiple vendor and subcontractor quotes for each opportunity.
• Assist with vetting and selecting vendors and subcontractors based on project scope, pricing, and qualifications.
• Manage bid packages, vendor submissions, and pricing documentation.
• Compile and track actual project costs for review and future estimating.
• Use bid information to prepare detailed cost analyses.
• Work closely with Project Managers during the bidding and project transition process.
• Present completed estimates and pricing information to management and stakeholders.
• Communicate project requirements and pricing clearly and professionally with clients, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
• Manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
• Support the estimating team and overall company objectives as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating
• Experience in elevator construction or modernization preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Degree in construction management, estimating, business management, or related field preferred
• Experience using CRM and customer relationship management tools preferred
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver accurate proposals
• Proficiency in MS Office and Google Workspace
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple bids
• Critical thinking and effective problem-solving ability
• Familiarity with construction terminology and elevator systems
