Pilcher, a founder of The Annals of Surgery . Today, our Advanced and Minimally Invasive Surgery program continues this legacy through cutting-edge, innovative techniquesincluding robotic surgery.
Position Overview
Robotic Surgery Physician Assistants support a wide range of surgical specialties, including:
General Surgery
Colorectal
Bariatrics
Gynecology
Urology
In this role, you will function as a key member of the surgical care team, with responsibilities that include:
Providing intraoperative bedside assistance during robotic procedures
Rounding with surgical teams to evaluate and manage patients
Writing progress notes and placing orders
Performing bedside procedures as needed
Delivering coordinated, high-quality care across the patient journey
You will serve as a frontline provider, ensuring continuity of care for surgical patients throughout their hospital stay.
ScheduleMondayFriday, flexible shift coverage
At least 1 year of experience in surgical inpatient medicine
At least 1 year of experience in robotic surgery
Experience with Intuitive Surgical systems (Xi, X, and/or dV5)
Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Current New York State PA licensure
NCCPA certification
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
NYS Infection Control certification
DEA registration with NYS Opioid Prescriber Training compliance
