Sr. Engineer – Lighting Systems

About the Company Mahindra Research Valley (MRV), Chennai is looking for a passionate Sr. Engineer – Lighting Systems to join the Lighting COE team. About the Role Key Responsibilities Responsibilities Design & development of Exterior and Interior Lighting Systems Benchmarking of latest lighting technologies and market trends Prepare and manage POC, SOR, DVP, TSO and development activities Collaborate with suppliers from concept to SOP, ensuring all requirements are met Manage design releases, validation activities, field issues and problem resolution Develop lighting systems meeting functional, quality and regulatory requirements Review and release technical specifications and engineering documentation Work closely with cross-functional teams from Marketing to Service throughout the project lifecycle Qualifications B.E / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering B.E / B.Tech – Automobile Engineering B.E / B.Tech – Mechatronics Engineering Required Skills Strong understanding of Lighting Optics, Electronics and Vehicle E&E Systems Expertise in Optics, CAD Packaging, DFMEA and GD&T Knowledge of CAE Thermal, Vibration and Condensation Analysis Experience in Wiring Harness and Automotive Electronics Strong problem-solving and project management skills Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) Preferred Skills Must have hands-on experience in CATIA V5 CATIA V6 / 3DX would be an added advantage Experience with Optics Simulation Software (SPEOS preferred) Knowledge of LED technologies and vehicle lighting electronics Pay range and compensation package Experience: 5–7 Years Preferred Industry Automotive OEMs / Tier-1 Suppliers Preferred Companies Valeo Marelli Varroc Motherson Lumax Hella Hyundai Mobis Koito Stanley SL Corporation or other Lighting System OEM/Tier-1 suppliers.
