Job Description
The City of Essex Junction Recreation and Parks Department (EJRP) is seeking a Licensed Childcare Site Coordinator to help lead our licensed childcare programs, including Rec Kids afterschool programming, vacation camps, and summer day camps. This position plays an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where children feel supported, respected, and encouraged to grow. The Site Coordinator helps connect the school day with afterschool and camp programming by aligning expectations, building strong relationships with children and families, and supporting consistency across programs. Pay/Wages $22.06 to $23.80 on experienced Benefits (this is not a comprehensive list of benefits)

- Communicating regularly with parents and guardians
- Maintaining confidential child files, incident reports, licensing paperwork, and related records
- Supervising and supporting childcare staff and summer camp counselors
- Assisting with vacation camps and summer day camp operations
- Collaborating with school staff to support consistency for children and families
- Participating in trainings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
- Driving City vehicles as needed
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid Vermont Driver's License
- Good driving record
- Ability to complete training in Responsive Classroom and CPI/TCI/Handle With Care, if not already trained
