Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Drafter with strong hands-on expertise in AutoCAD and Revit to support our Australian client on civil design and drafting projects.

The ideal candidate should have proven experience working on Australian and/or New Zealand projects and a strong background in a civil engineering/design company, with hands-on experience developing accurate 2D and 3D drawings involving building, metal, and timber/wood structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed 2D and 3D civil drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop and modify technical drawings based on project requirements and design specifications.
• Work on civil design and drafting for building, metal, and timber/wood structures.
• Interpret engineering drawings, design plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with civil engineers, designers, architects, and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure drawings comply with project standards, specifications, and required drafting practices.
• Revise drawings based on engineering/design changes and client feedback.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, consistency, and documentation standards.
• Support multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 2+ years of Civil Drafting/Design experience.
• Advanced AutoCAD & Revit skills.
• Proven experience with Australian/NZ projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Codes & Standards.
• Hands-on 2D & 3D civil drafting/design experience.
• Experience with building, metal & timber/wood structures.
• Prior experience in a civil engineering/design company.
•   Strong technical drawing, detailing, and documentation skills.

Preferred

• Experience working directly with Australian clients, engineers, or consultants.
• Familiarity with Australian/New Zealand construction and engineering standards.
• Experience with structural/civil detailing and construction documentation.
• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Civil Drafting, or a related field.
