We are partnering with a highly regarded global investment firm in NYC that is expanding its Management Company Accounting team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing accounting professional, particularly someone coming from Big Four public accounting, who wants to transition into a top-tier asset manager and continue building a long-term career in a sophisticated finance environment.
This is not a fund accounting role. The position sits within the firm’s Management Company Accounting function and supports the accounting, financial reporting, controls, and regulatory processes for the firm’s U.S. and international management companies.
Responsibilities:Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedulesPrepare recurring and ad hoc financial reportingAssist with regulatory and compliance-related reportingPartner with colleagues across Finance, Legal, Compliance, and other internal teamsHelp improve accounting and reporting processes through automation and emerging technologyTake ownership of recurring accounting responsibilities while continuing to expand scope over time
Qualifications:2-4 years of accounting experienceBig Four public accounting background strongly preferredCPA required, or all four sections of the CPA exam passedStrong understanding of financial reporting, close, and core accounting principlesExperience within financial services, asset management, banking, or capital markets xzbcwsv is a plusStrong analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skillsMotivated, career-oriented, and interested in growing within a high-performance environment
