Collections Manager

Looking for an experienced Collections Manager to manage collection operations, external collection partners and recovery-related activities for a leading financial services organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the performance of collection agencies/vendors .
• Evaluate vendors, monitor their performance and manage commercial/invoice-related activities.
• Manage repossession and litigation activities.
• Coordinate with auction companies and law firms for repossession and legal matters.
• Monitor litigation cases and ensure timely updates and closure.
• Develop and manage processes for fraud, complaints, bankruptcy and repayment rescheduling .
• Monitor and report performance of special handling cases.
• Develop and document collection policies and SOPs .
• Support collection process and system setup for new business initiatives.
• Test collection systems and identify process/system issues.
• Work closely with internal teams, collection agencies, legal partners and other stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in collections within Consumer Finance / NBFC .
• Strong experience in collection agency/vendor management .
• Good understanding of repossession, litigation and recovery processes .
• Experience handling fraud, complaints, bankruptcy and rescheduling cases.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint ; SQL/database knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
