Job Summary

The Dental Assistant has the skills, responsibilities, tasks and expectations to assist/support the dentist in delivering exceptional care to all patients under the guidance and support of the dentist and Operations Leader. The dental assistant contributes to the financial and non-financial success of the practice by ensuring that patients are the number one priority when they arrive at the practice. The dental assistant gains the trust of the patient within their licensure and/or training.

What We're Looking For:
  • A certified Dental Assistant with a heart for pediatric care

  • Someone who is patient, energetic, and truly enjoys working with children

  • Team player with a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude

  • Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, but a passion for kids

Responsibilities

  • Provides chair-side clinical support to Doctors and Hygienists by charting, patient education, operatory set-up and clean-up
  • Manages patient flow to ensure efficient appointments
  • Welcomes patients and deliver positive patient experiences
  • Captures and processes X-Rays
  • Enters patient treatment plans and maintain files at the direction of the Dentist
  • Completes sterilization processes for equipment and operatories
  • Monitors all laboratory cases and ensure they are ready for the next day's schedule

Qualifications

  • Dental Assisting Certification in the appropriate state from an accredited school
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Coronal Polishing certificate desired
  • X-Ray certification, or the ability to acquire in a timely manner
  • Nitrous Oxide certificate preferred
  • Detail-oriented with strong patient focus
  • Ability to partner with team and contribute to welcoming environment for patients
