Role Description The Lead Interior Designer (Commercial) in Mumbai will oversee the design of corporate and commercial interiors from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with client objectives, brand, and workplace strategy. This full-time, on-site role includes leading design development, preparing mood boards and material palettes, coordinating construction drawings with the architecture and MEP teams, and guiding FF& E selections for functionality, aesthetics, and budget. The role involves managing client presentations, design reviews, and stakeholder communications, while mentoring junior designers and collaborating closely with project managers for seamless execution. The Lead Interior Designer will conduct site visits, review quality and detailing, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and ensure that all design documentation complies with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
Qualifications
Strong commercial Interior Design experience, with a track record of leading corporate or commercial workplace projects. Proficiency in Space Planning and workplace layout optimization to support diverse workstyles and organizational needs. Solid foundation in Architecture and building systems to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams. Ability to develop and review detailed Construction Drawings for execution, coordination, and regulatory approvals. Expertise in FF& E selection, including furniture, fixtures, equipment, finishes, and materials suited to commercial environments. Strong skills in design software (e.g., Auto CAD, Revit, Sketch Up, Photoshop), and familiarity with 3 D visualization tools. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, with relevant professional certifications preferred. Experience managing design teams, coordinating with contractors and vendors, and delivering projects to time, cost, and quality standards. Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into design solutions. <
