Description
Gryphon Oakwood is partnering with an established mechanical contracting and building services organisation on a search for a senior operational leader to support its continued growth and evolving business needs.
This opportunity is suited to an experienced executive with a strong background in mechanical contracting or related industries, combining operational leadership with commercial acumen and the ability to manage multiple business units. Working alongside the existing management team, the successful candidate will help strengthen leadership capacity, support business performance and contribute to the organisation’s next phase of growth.
The position offers flexibility for the right individual to shape their remit around their experience and strengths. Responsibilities
Work alongside the existing executive team to strengthen operational leadership and support the organisation’s continued development.Provide leadership across mechanical contracting or related business operations, aligned with the needs and structure of the organisation.Support the performance and development of multiple divisions, business units or operating companies, as appropriate to the agreed remit.Contribute to business planning, commercial decision-making and the delivery of wider organisational objectives.Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, business performance and coordination across teams.Help ensure operational capabilities and resources support the organisation’s growth ambitions.Support the development of existing operations and, where relevant, the establishment of new business activities.Bring a balanced perspective across commercial development and operational execution, helping translate growth opportunities into sustainable business performance.Work collaboratively with senior leadership to address evolving business priorities and increasing organisational complexity.Take ownership of specific operational or business leadership responsibilities shaped around the successful candidate’s experience and the organisation’s needs.
Requirements
Significant senior leadership experience within mechanical contracting, HVAC, building services or a related industry.Demonstrable experience managing operations across multiple divisions, business units or profit-and-loss responsibilities.Strong commercial understanding, ideally combining business development capabilities with operational leadership.A track record of supporting business growth, improving performance or scaling an organisation.The ability to work effectively alongside an established executive team and contribute to wider business strategy.Experience managing complexity across different operations, service lines or business units.Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills, with the flexibility to take ownership of a remit aligned with business priorities.Experience establishing new operations or supporting business expansion would be advantageous. xzbcwsv
