Role Description The Senior Admissions Counselor is a full-time, remote role responsible for guiding prospective students through the entire admissions process. On a daily basis, this role conducts outreach via phone, email, and online platforms to engage with potential applicants, understand their goals, and provide accurate information about programs and admission requirements. The counselor evaluates candidate profiles, advises on suitable courses, and supports applicants in completing forms, documentation, and enrollment steps. This position also involves following up on inquiries, maintaining detailed records in CRM or admissions systems, and collaborating with internal teams to meet enrollment targets. The Senior Admissions Counselor is expected to use data and feedback to refine outreach strategies, uphold high standards of customer service, and contribute to continuous improvement of admissions processes. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong interpersonal communication and general communication skills to effectively engage with diverse prospective students and stakeholders. Candidates should possess customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally, resolve concerns, and maintain a positive applicant experience throughout the admissions process. Candidates should possess sales skills to convert leads into enrollments, manage pipelines, and work toward defined admissions and revenue targets. Candidates should possess education-related knowledge or experience to accurately explain program details, entry requirements, and academic pathways. Relevant qualifications include prior experience in admissions, counseling, or inside sales; familiarity with CRM or admissions management systems; strong organizational and time-management abilities; and proficiency with common office and communication software. A bachelor’s degree in any discipline is preferred, along with the ability to work independently in a remote environment and demonstrate ethical, learner-centric decision-making.
