We're Hiring: Senior Claims Executive (Marine Insurance Claims)

Are you an experienced Marine Insurance Claims professional with a strong understanding of P&I Club claims, cargo losses, hull damages, and maritime risks?

We are looking for a Senior Claims Executive to join our team and play a critical role in managing marine insurance claims from notification to settlement while ensuring compliance with internal procedures and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Manage and resolve marine insurance claims from FNOL (First Notice of Loss) through final settlement.

✅ Promptly acknowledge, assess, and report marine-related incidents.

✅ Provide technical guidance on:

• Marine insurance policies
• Claims recoveries
• Incident reporting procedures

✅ Liaise with:

• P&I Clubs
• Loss Adjusters
• Surveyors
• Legal Counsel

✅ Maintain accurate claim files, logs, reconciliations, and cost documentation.

✅ Monitor aging claims and proactively drive resolutions.

✅ Support cargo claims handling, club guarantees, loss ratio tracking, and claims reconciliation.

✅ Prepare monthly MIS reports and claims trend analysis to support risk mitigation and business strategy.

✅ Collaborate with Commercial and Operations teams to identify voyage and Charter Party (C/P) claim risks.

✅ Assist in audits, compliance reviews, legal coordination, and loss prevention initiatives.

✅ Support team operations during peak workloads and staff absences.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

Bachelor's Degree in:

• Marine Insurance
• Maritime Studies
• Law
• Shipping
• Or a related discipline

Experience

✔ Minimum 5 years of experience in Marine Insurance Claims Handling

✔Strong knowledge of:

• P&I Club Claims
• Cargo Losses
• Hull & Machinery Claims
• Maritime Legal Processes
• Marine Risk Management

Skills & Expertise

Thorough understanding of marine insurance claims handling

Ability to interpret marine insurance policies and contractual obligations

Strong documentation, reconciliation, and record management skills

Claims recovery and settlement expertise

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
