SR Plumbing is recruiting a Boiler Breakdown Engineer to handle domestic heating work across Hull, East Yorkshire.This is a practical fault-finding role covering boiler breakdowns, heating repairs, servicing support and related plumbing tasks. It will suit someone who can turn up prepared, work through faults methodically and leave customers with a clear understanding of the repair.ResponsibilitiesVisit domestic customers for boiler breakdown, heating and hot water issues.Trace faults across boilers, controls, radiators and wider heating systems.Complete repairs safely, including related heating and plumbing tasks where appropriate.Support servicing and landlord gas safety appointments when the schedule requires it.Give customers a clear explanation of the fault and the recommended repair route.Record job notes properly so the office team has a clear history of each visit.Plan your day sensibly across the service area you are covering.RequirementsGas Safe registered for domestic gas work.A minimum of 3 years working on domestic boiler breakdown and repair jobs.Practical understanding of heating controls, radiators, pipework and common system faults.Confidence diagnosing issues across a range of boiler brands.Full UK driving licence.A tidy, reliable and customer-conscious way of working.Desirable experienceBroad exposure to common domestic boiler brands.Good knowledge of heating controls, valves and circulation problems.Experience with CP12s, servicing and landlord maintenance visits.What success looks likeArrive prepared and manage appointments without close supervision.Work through heating faults in a calm, structured way.Finish repairs safely and leave the work area tidy.Keep customers and the office updated when parts or follow‑on work are needed.Build a reputation for reliable, professional visits.Benefits£40,000 basic starting salary.Company van for work appointments.Uniform supplied.Permanent full‑time position.Work focused around agreed regional areas.Job information and customer notes from the office team.Additional hours available when workload allows.Location and working patternCovering Hull, East Yorkshire and agreed nearby service areas for boiler breakdown and heating appointments.Full‑time field role built around customer appointments, urgent heating jobs and occasional call‑out demand. #J-18808-Ljbffr
