No employer-provided benefits are offered for this contract engagement.Job SummaryIntellectt Inc. is seeking an experienced Weld Engineer / Design Engineer with expertise in pressure vessel design, welding engineering, and ASME Code requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience with engineering design reviews, technical drawing reviews, engineering calculations, and testing and quality activities involving pressure-containing equipment.ResponsibilitiesSupport welding engineering and pressure vessel design activities.Apply relevant ASME Code requirements to pressure vessel and pressure equipment designs.Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations.Review engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation.Perform or validate engineering calculations and technical analyses.Support welding procedures, fabrication activities, testing, and quality assurance.Ensure design documentation meets applicable engineering standards and technical requirements.Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve design and fabrication issues.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.Relevant experience in welding engineering and pressure vessel design or fabrication.Strong knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code requirements.Experience reviewing engineering drawings and providing design feedback.Ability to perform or validate engineering calculations and analyses.Knowledge of welding processes, specifications, and quality requirements.Experience with pressure-containing equipment or industrial equipment manufacturing.Preferred QualificationsExperience with ASME Section VIII and Section IX.Knowledge of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).Experience with pressure vessel fabrication and welding procedure qualification.Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT), weld inspection, testing, and validation.Work RequirementsThis position requires onsite work in Staunton, Virginia.Candidates must be willing and able to work onsite at the designated location.Candidates must meet applicable work authorization and contractual requirements.Reasonable accommodations will be considered in accordance with applicable law.Equal Opportunity EmployerIntellectt Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
