Duration: Until a permanent Pharmacy Manager is hired
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager for a post-acute specialty hospital in Sarasota, FL. The Pharmacy Manager will oversee pharmacy operations, serve as the PIC / Consultant of Record (COR) , provide pharmacy staffing, and participate in weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily pharmacy operations and ensure safe and compliant medication practices.

• Serve as PIC / Consultant of Record (COR) .

• Provide pharmacy staffing and clinical support.

• Oversee medication distribution and pharmacy services.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

• Participate in weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage.

• Perform IV compounding in a Segregated Compounding Area (SCA) .

• Maintain compliance with applicable pharmacy and facility policies.

Required Qualifications

Both licenses are required:

• Active Florida Pharmacist License

• Active Florida Consultant Pharmacist License

Important: Candidates must already hold a Florida Consultant Pharmacist License to qualify for the COR requirement. Candidates without this license should not be submitted due to the short start timeline.

Additional Requirements

• Pharmacy management experience preferred.

• IV compounding experience required.

• Experience with pharmacy information systems and automated dispensing systems preferred.

• Ability to provide weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage.

• 340B experience is not required.

• COVID vaccination/testing is not required.

Employee Health & Credentialing

• Standard employee health screening

• Basic TB screening

• Hepatitis B titers

• Drug testing per agency requirements

• 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

• Weekend, after-hours, and on-call coverage required
