Job Description :

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate librarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing excellent library services, fostering a love of reading and learning, and engaging with the community. Responsibilities:

• Assist patrons in locating library materials, both in print and electronic formats
• Provide reference and research assistance to patrons, including helping with database searches and information inquiries
• Develop and maintain library collections, including selecting materials for purchase and managing acquisitions
• Plan and implement library programs and events for all ages, such as storytime sessions, book clubs, and workshops
• Collaborate with community organizations and schools to promote literacy and library services
• Assist with library technology, including troubleshooting issues with computers, printers, and other equipment
• Participate in library outreach efforts, including visiting schools, senior centers, and other community locations
• Perform other duties as assigned by library management Requirements

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with library cataloging systems and online databases
• Knowledge of current trends in library services and information technology
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with diverse populations preferred
