Position: PLC Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Role- The role is for a Senior PLC Automation Engineer who can independently program, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-based production lines with minimal support from Korean engineers.

1. PLC Programming & Automation

• Develop, modify, test, and commission PLC programs for automated production equipment.
• Configure and maintain HMI/SCADA systems for machine monitoring and control.
• Optimize PLC logic to improve machine performance and reduce cycle time.
• Ensure smooth startup and commissioning of new production lines.

2. Troubleshooting & Maintenance

• Diagnose and resolve PLC, HMI, electrical, and control system faults.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize production downtime.
• Troubleshoot communication issues between PLCs, drives, sensors, robots, and other automation devices.
• Analyze root causes of machine failures and implement permanent solutions.

3. System Integration & Commissioning

• Integrate PLCs with MES, robots, sensors, servo drives, VFDs, and factory automation systems.
• Configure industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Profinet, CC-Link, and Modbus.
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and machine validation.
• Support installation, startup, and commissioning of automation equipment.

4. Documentation & Process Improvement

• Prepare and maintain PLC backup files, I/O lists, electrical drawings, and technical documentation.
• Generate daily/weekly progress reports and communicate technical updates.
• Recommend automation improvements to enhance productivity and equipment reliability.
• Ensure all modifications are properly documented and validated.

5. Collaboration & Compliance

• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams for issue resolution.
• Work closely with Korean engineering teams and provide technical updates in English.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company automation guidelines.
• Maintain high-quality standards during commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting .
