Position SummaryThe RFP / Procurement Analyst is responsible for supporting the Request for Proposal (RFP) process through sourcing analysis, vendor evaluation, cost modeling, & cross-functional project coordination. This role analyzes product costs, logistics expenses, pricing structures, & vendor proposals to identify opportunities for cost savings & support effective procurement decisions.The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, & comfortable managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders. This individual should be able to translate financial & operational data into actionable recommendations while supporting sourcing initiatives from initial RFP development through vendor selection & savings measurement.
Key ResponsibilitiesRFP & Procurement AnalysisCoordinate with internal stakeholders & subject matter experts to develop complete, accurate, & comprehensive RFPsAnalyze vendor proposals, product costs, category costs, logistics expenses, & pricing components to perform comparative evaluationsEvaluate procurement options & logistics strategies to identify the most advantageous sourcing solutionsPerform cost-benefit analyses & evaluate pricing formulas to support vendor selection & procurement decisionsReview contract terms & provide analytical support during vendor negotiationsTrack & measure cost savings and other financial benefits achieved through the RFP processData Analysis & ReportingPerform financial & operational analysis to identify trends, opportunities, & business insightsAnalyze & clean data to support procurement decisions, vendor evaluations, & sourcing initiativesDevelop reports, models, & visualizations that clearly communicate analytical findingsProvide ad hoc financial & procurement analysis to support business needsPresent findings & recommendations to internal stakeholders in clear, actionable termsProject Management & Cross-Functional SupportManage multiple RFP & procurement projects from initial research through analysis, evaluation, & implementationCoordinate timelines, deliverables, & communication across internal departments & external vendorsPartner with Purchasing, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, & other departments to gather information & evaluate sourcing opportunitiesIdentify opportunities to improve RFP, procurement, & analytical processesSupport strategic sourcing initiatives & other projects designed to improve procurement performance & reduce costs
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or related field1–2 years of experience in Finance, Procurement, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related analytical roleStrong analytical, quantitative, & problem-solving skillsHigh proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPointExperience analyzing financial, pricing, or operational dataAbility to manage complex projects & multiple prioritiesStrong attention xzbcwsv to detail & organizational skillsAbility to work independently & collaborate effectively across departmentsExcellent written & verbal communication skills
Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting RFPs, strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor evaluation processesExperience performing cost-benefit, pricing, or financial analysisFamiliarity with contract review & vendor negotiationsKnowledge of SQLExperience with data cleaning, modeling, reporting, & visualizationExperience in wholesale, distribution, retail, or another high-volume environment
