This position works in NPERS’ Data Services area and reviews, processes, and maintains complex records and written materials, selecting and using varied clerical procedures (such as scanning, data entry, sorting/filing correspondence and documents, and reviewing information for accuracy and completeness). They perform diverse office/clerical support. This person may provide procedural guidance and technical advice to other support or agency employees, and they perform related work as assigned. Work Schedule: M-F, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Hiring Rate: $15.338 Range: $15.338 - $22.610 The pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints if approved. - Pick up, open, sort, date stamp, and distribute incoming mail.
- Research incoming mail for membership and identification to retirement plan.
- Prepare, scan, and index files into imaging system.
- Process outgoing mail by weight to determine postage.
- Bundle and prepare proper postage authorization forms for pickup by the state mail personnel.
- Prepare, review, and retrieve documents and data using networked desktop personal computer.
- Provide assistance to other members of the Data Services team, and the agency, for special projects or requests for help.
- The practices and procedures pertinent to office/clerical support operations.
- The methods of filing, record keeping, bookkeeping, and mailing.
- The purpose and activities of the employing agency.
- The work unit policies and guidelines pertinent to office/clerical support operations.
- The functions and specialized terminology associated with the work unit and agency.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Have regular attendance and punctuality.
