Cardiac Nurse Practitioner

Reporting to the Practice Manager and working under the supervision of the Physician, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for preparing patients for examination and treatment while supporting the physician in the delivery of clinical care. Job Functions Diagnose, treat, evaluate, and manage acute and chronic illnesses and diseases, including diabetes and high blood pressure. Obtain comprehensive medical histories. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies, including Exercise Tolerance Tests (ETTs), Stress Echocardiograms, Myoviews, and EKGs. Prescribe physical therapy and other rehabilitation treatments. Prescribe medications for acute and chronic illnesses in accordance with state regulations governing prescriptive authority.
