Location: Merritt Island, FLDuration: 6.5 MonthsJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Red Hat Satellite Senior Consultant to support the deployment, administration, configuration, and optimization of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise with Red Hat Satellite, enterprise Linux infrastructure management, automation, and system lifecycle operations.The consultant will work closely with technical architects and customer stakeholders to implement best practices, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and support enterprise Linux modernization initiatives. Familiarity with IBM AIX and the ability to map AIX functionality to equivalent RHEL capabilities is highly desirable.Key ResponsibilitiesDeploy, configure, administer, and maintain Red Hat Satellite 6.x environments.Manage RHEL infrastructure, including provisioning, patching, upgrades, subscriptions, and lifecycle management.Configure and maintain Satellite Content Views, Lifecycle Environments, Activation Keys, Host Groups, and Capsule Servers.Implement automated patching, configuration management, and system provisioning using Red Hat Satellite and Ansible.Troubleshoot Satellite infrastructure, repository synchronization, host registration, and content management issues.Support RHEL server administration, performance optimization, security hardening, and infrastructure maintenance.Collaborate with architects and infrastructure teams to design scalable and reliable Linux management solutions.Evaluate existing IBM AIX capabilities and help identify comparable RHEL features and functionality.Assist with Linux modernization, infrastructure integration, and migration planning activities.Develop technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.Provide hands-on technical guidance and support to customer engineering and operations teams.Required QualificationsStrong hands-on experience with Red Hat Satellite 6.x deployment, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.Extensive experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7, 8, and 9).Expertise in Linux server provisioning, patch management, repository management, and system lifecycle operations.Experience configuring Satellite Capsule Servers, Content Views, Activation Keys, and Lifecycle Environments.Strong understanding of Linux networking, storage, security, and system administration.Experience with Ansible automation and Bash scripting.Ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise Linux infrastructure issues.Strong communication skills and experience working directly with customers and technical stakeholders. xzbcwsv Willingness to work onsite in Merritt Island, FL, as required.
