Senior Systems Engineer - Cloud & DevOps

Salary: $100,000 - 130,000 per year Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years in systems engineering or infrastructure roles
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Server environments
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration
• Hands-on knowledge of VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix, or comparable hypervisors
• Familiarity with enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP
• Experience with Azure or hybrid cloud environments
• Knowledge of networking principles (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls)
• Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, AZ-104, MCSA/MCSE equivalent) preferred
• VMware VCP certification preferred
• Experience with Azure AD, Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA preferred
• PowerShell scripting experience preferred
• Background in security frameworks and compliance standards preferred
• Ability to work autonomously and lead technical projects
• Capable project management and organization skills
• Collaborative approach with strong interpersonal skills
• Skill in translating technical concepts for a business audience

• Design, implement, and sustain Microsoft-based infrastructure environments
• Manage and optimize Microsoft 365 / Office 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Azure AD, and Intune
• Engineer and oversee virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix
• Develop high-availability and disaster recovery strategies
• Implement and maintain enterprise backup and recovery systems such as Veeam, Commvault, or Cohesity
• Monitor system performance and perform capacity planning for infrastructure optimization
• Lead infrastructure initiatives such as migrations, upgrades, and transitions to the cloud
• Uphold security best practices, manage patches, and ensure compliance
• Provide Tier III escalation support and technical mentorship to junior engineers
• Create and manage comprehensive documentation and system diagrams
